Re: Repeatable Stuck Shift from a label track
This is getting stranger and stranger. You've discovered that you can repeat the issue on a different machine, and I've just tried it on a Win XP SP3 machine and can't reproduce the issue at all. What are we doing different? I've got an experiment for you to try: Close Audacity Go into the Audacity ...

You could always add just a touch of extra reverb using G-Verb in addition to the compressor.Shoxu wrote: It only miss some echo or some room change or something,

Re: feedback wanted on hi-fi iPod docks
Yet another option would be an XBox 360 to stream from the network.

Re: resampling damages the sound
Resampling is handled by either libsamplerate or libresample.
If you look in "Help menu > About Audacity > Build Information" it should say which one is being used. (Unfortunately it probably will not say which version).

Re: New plug-in effect - PopMute
I infer from your question that you suspect a display rendering artifact. Yes I think it may have been. I agree that it can look quite odd, and while I understand that running the Nyquist effect will cause a redraw I don't know why the redraw should be any different from one time to another. In the...

Re: resampling damages the sound
Unfortunately I'm unable to test that as I don't have enough free space on my machine.
I'll ask if someone else could take a look.

Re: Noise Gate Question
That's quite a tough one due to the relatively high level of bleed through (you're not going to be able to get it perfect). For future reference you may want to look at your microphone positioning to try and lessen the bleed though at source. For the gate, you really need to use a short gate attack ...

Re: Default SAMPLE for MP3 Export Multiple
Just noticed, you said that you "rip" at 96000.
Do you mean that you are "recording" at 96000? (the term "rip" usually means "digitally extracting" from another media, such as a CD or DVD).

Re: Default SAMPLE for MP3 Export Multiple
Hi again flaZer :D Recording at a very high sample rate can sometimes work against you. The higher the sample rate, the harder the hardware has to work to keep up. On all but very expensive sound cards, increasing the sample rate above 48000 causes increased errors in the analogue to digital convers...

Re: Resample without changing pitch
Unfortunately I'm away from my main computer but I don't believe your method allows me to resample to a custom rate. If you're using Audacity 1.2.6, just click on the box that Koz indicated and select "Other" from the drop down list. You can then type in a custom sample rate. If your usin...
