Re: Stereo recording from vinyl
the left channel is slightly louder (not that much though) How much are we talking about? If the turntable is set up well there should not be much difference - personally I'd not worry about it if the channels are within about 1 dB, but 6 dB difference is a bit excessive. does normalizing effect th...

Re: Stereo recording from vinyl
so you want me to connect the turntable Direct to the numark via phono or line? What's it connected to now? A Line in or a Phono in? and also do you want me to connect the earth direct from the TT To The Numark Yes. And the mixer disconnected altogether. We need to narrow down where the issue is co...

Re: ffmpeg file version for 1.3 beta(unicode)
Topic moved to the Audacity 1.3.x part of the forum. Use the version from here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=FAQ:Installation_and_Plug-Ins#installffmpeg This version should work correctly with Audacity 1.3.13. Check your Audacity version (Help > About Audacity) and if not "Aud...

Re: Stereo recording from vinyl

Re: Headphone amplifiers

It's pretty comprehensive with features - 2 mono/stereo inputs, separate level and pan for each input, separate level for all 4 outputs, sockets duplicated on front and back, link out connectors on the back, input level meters. Sound quality is decent. Main downside ...

Re: audio sounds like coming from a metal can
Does the change of Audacity versions coincide with any other changes to your set-up? For example are you still using the same computer with the same operating system and listening through the same headphones?

Re: Right click spported
Audacity is a cross-platform program (it works on Windows Mac and Linux). Unfortunately the different computer platforms do not all handle Right Click actions the same way. If I recall correctly there was some discussion about this some time ago, but there were issues with getting right click to wor...
