Re: Waveform analysis when importing .mogg file?

.mogg is not a recognised file extension in Audacity and is not officially supported.
The file extensions defined by Xiph are listed here: http://wiki.xiph.org/MIME_Types_and_Fil ... tion.2Fogg

Re: Imported Songs Stretched to 9 minutes

How are you importing the song?
If you're using Audacity 1.2.x I'd recommend that you upgrade to Audacity 1.3.13 (you can get it here: http://audacityteam.org/download/

Re: Recording using an audio interface - problem

Try upgrading to Audacity 1.3.13.
If you still have the problem, please give details about what the usb audio interface is, what version of Windows and any other information that may be relevant.
You can get Audacity 1.3.13 from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/

Re: Too much treble : equalization doesn't helps...

Does that means that the spectrum plot should ideally be flat? No, not necessarily. Different sounds will have different shapes. Some sounds will appear quite bumpy while other sounds will have a more smooth shape. However a voice recording will not usually have a big bump like there is in the samp...

Re: 32 count

If a song has a 4/4 rhythm (4 beats to the bar) and has a phrase length of 8 bars, then there will be 32 beats (counts) in a phrase. This is not something that you can adjust by audio processing, it's how the song has been written. A lot of dance music has 32 beat phrases.
