Re: Cross-Fade (revisited)
I think that splitting the "Fade" functions to a second plug-in will help to resolve a lot of the issues that have been raised. For my own use (and from what Bill was saying this will apply to him also), having only the cross-fade part of this effect will be too limited, but if the fade-in...

Re: Plugins path changing
I am Aware of problems with to many and non working/Flawed plugins, I have always added plugins one at a time, with a test on a backed up project, in order to avoid problems down the line. I recommend everyone who has plugin capable software of any kind to follow that procedure, even if it is quit ...

Have a look at this link that I posted previously: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/VST_P ... #locationsZoidbob wrote: I (and others) need a way for Audacity to find VST plugins, in a directory of my choice on another drive than Audacity altogether.

Re: computer interface
Simultaneous recording of more than 8 channels is expensive. The Boss BR-1200CD is one of the cheapest devices that claims to manage 12 simultaneous channels (about $900 US). 8 channels or less can be a lot less money. Alternatively, improving your live mix so that you have a good enough mix to be r...

Re: Problems hearing incomming voice
Are you sure that you are really recording from the TP-7 and not from the laptop microphone?
According to this page http://www.olympus.co.uk/consumer/2587_ ... ick-up.htm it looks like the TP-7 should send a mix of both voices to the computer.

Re: Input device doesn't list ATI HD card
Right-clicking here shows Disabled and Disconnected devices are being shown. But there are none. You've been going about this the correct way, but unfortunately an increasing number of sound cards do not support recording of sounds that are playing on the computer. There are some possible workaroun...

Re: No signal from USB Mixer..
The mixer should be connected to the computer and recognised by Windows before you open Audacity.
Then open Audacity and look in "Edit menu > Preferences > Devices" and set the Recording device to the USB option (the mixer).

Re: couldnt find the project data folder: "filename_data"
Try this:kazisl wrote:I dont have a data folder. It was never created.
1) Open Audacity
2) From the Generate menu, generate a tone (all default settings)
3) From the File menu, Save the project to your Desktop.
Is there a project file (filename.aup) and a project folder (filename_data)?
