Re: Division in Nyquist (Lisp)
1) Can I work with a sound like an array? I mean, in place to create an array and then transform it in a sound. In order to do it faster. I'll need a way to access a sound field for set its value. Processing audio sample by sample is slow. Whenever possible it will be much faster to operate on the ...

Re: Clicks and pops
If you play the same track several times, do the clicks occur in the same places each time you play?rivera42 wrote:The recordings sound great, except for occasional and random clicks or pops on playback.

Re: Scripting Noise Removal
Thanks for your contribution alexius. Second, I find its application somewhat counterintuitive. Thus, say I call the effect and define a noise profile; and then, I press cmd-R. This should mean, repeat "the last applied effect using the same option and without displaying the dialog", ie, r...

There's a plug-in called "Binaural Tones" available here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Generate_Plug-ins#Special_Effects The "Surf" plug-ins may also be of interest (in the same section) and the Isochronic modulator plug-in here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyq...

Re: Single channel choice crashes! Help!
It works perfectly in all my programs that use it (maybe 6), and it only fails when I try to record through Audacity in mono mode. Have you tried recording in mono with any other programs without using ASIO? It may be worth trying mono recording using a different sample rate. If you're currently us...

Re: Best Sampling Rate for Export to Mp3?
what platform are you on? What's your operating system? If you're on Windows, you may be able to still get hold of the demo version of CoolEdit 1.53 (now obsolete). The limitations in this demo version is that it is only possible to choose 2 functions at a time, one of which will be the save functi...

Re: recording out-of-sync with playback (v1.2.4)
Re/ the faster tempo on the voice recording, I'm not sure the sound card clock drifting is a good explanation, unless it always drifts in the same direction (faster) and at about the same rate, since I've seen the same effect on several recordings I've made. Your sound card is using a slightly fast...

Re: Saved mp3 files lose sound quaility
As you're using MP3 format it would be worth upgrading to Audacity 1.3.13 as this will allow you to use VBR encoding which gives better sound quality for similar file size than CBR encoding that is used in Audacity 1.2.x. If you want to try it, you can install Audacity 1.3.13 alongside your current ...
