Re: roll and punch in audacity

Glad you found it helpful Bob. I must get round to writing up some of these techniques on the Audacity wiki.

Re: Loop Measure Labels

On a bad note, looks like my code is WAY less than useful. The labels produced WILL be correct (i.e. at the right time of the measure break(s)). The problem is that when you cut the audio at that point, it will often ROUND the audio to the nearest sample. Damn you sample! Thus, when you copy paste ...

Re: Clean up vinyl recording

I'm a bit pressed for time so sorry about the brief reply, but there is an in depth tutorial about recording vinyl that you may find helpful: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Trans ... uter_or_CD

Re: why when i record a track its off a couple seconds!!!! h

Inexpensive sound cards don't pay any attention to the accuracy of their recording and playback sampling. You don't need to spend a lot to get reasonable timing accuracy - my UCA 202 (about $30) appears to be pretty accurate, but many on-board sound cards are manufactured at much lower cost than th...

Re: Remove glitch

Sorry about the delay getting back to you anonty. The problem is that the length of the track should be preserved. Yes I understand that, but the sample that you posted has already had some audio removed (which I presume was the result of your first attempt at repairing the glitch?), so we are in ef...

Re: Recovering lost audio files

I've just got home from a 13 hour shift so I've not been available to reply to you.
I don't see anything wrong with line 3 (though it's better to avoid non-alpha-numeric characters in file names).
Is this the .AUP file that gave the error "UNCLOSED TOKEN AT LINE 3" ?

Re: Switching from PC to Mac

Take particular note of the discussion of dependencies on that manual page. If your 1.2.6 projects depend on external audio files you'd be well advised to open them with 1.3.13/14 on the PC and resolve the dependencies by copying dependent files into the project before you attempt to move the proje...

Audacity hangs system, black screen, can't launch (SOLVED)

Nobody posts in the right forum. Not quite "nobody", but very frequent ;) I ran the Glims uninstaller, but it still didn't remove that library, so I had to remove it manually. After that, both iMovie and Audacity started working. Glad you've got it fixed. I'll mark this as solved as it ma...
