Yes you can. One way to do this:
Ctrl+A (select All)
Then change to the "Time Shift Tool" (double headed arrow button <--> or F5 key)
Drag the tracks to the right.

Re: Recording Harmonica
Have a look at the playback meters when you play back both the tracks, if they are banging up to the end of the scale (0 dB) then you will need to reduce the levels of the tracks. You can do that using the track gain level sliders on the left end of the track to lower the playback level (marked with...

Re: "Normalize" a multi-channel show
And all those years I was running Pro Tools in 16-bit 44.1k and producing trash! Tee-hee. Thanks for the fly in the ointment Bill ;) ProTools is built on a different paradigm to Audacity in that operations on the audio are mostly done non-destructively in real time so the lack of support for float ...

Re: Noise Reduction
I never set Sensitivity other than 0. Others may disagree. I usually leave the Sensitivity at 0. In most cases 0 is the optimum setting for Sensitivity. With some material raising the Sensitivity can help to remove more noise, but in most cases it will also increase the damage to the remaining audio.

Re: How to make up for decibel loss in High/Lowpass filter
peak is supposed to represent the highest level that the channel reaches within it's first 10000000 samples? "Peak" computes the maximum absolute value of the sound within the first "maxlen" samples. "Absolute" values ignores the sign (+ or -) and looks only at the val...

Re: Sudden Loss of Internal Playback
What do you have set as the playback device in the Device Toolbar? What are the other options? Do you have 1.3.14 alpha or 1.3.14 beta? ANSI or Unicode?

Re: "Normalize" a multi-channel show
This can be seen as a major headache, or a minor inconvenience. A major headache because it can ruin your show - a minor inconvenience because it shouldn't ruin your show, in fact when approached the right way it will do no harm at all. When mixing down, forget about numbers and meter readings - lis...

We probably can't help you with Cubase or WaveLab.
Do you also use Audacity? If so, which version, and what happens?

Re: How to make up for decibel loss in High/Lowpass filter
Unfortunately there is probably no completely satisfactory answer. The high/low pass filters in Nyquist are based on biquad filters which behave much like analogue IIR filters and create frequency dependent phase shifts. This means that the peak level after filtering will be dependent on the frequen...

Re: Recover project
Have you tried restarting Audacity? Recent versions of Audacity 1.3.x can usually recover projects after a crash automatically. If you get asked whether to delete orphan files, select "work silently round", but do not delete them yet. If the project then opens and plays correctly, use &quo...
