Re: Noise removal: identical for both channels?

I just wanted to be sure of my ground - I don't want to embarrass myself in front of the devs by claiming something that isn't so 8-) In that case I'd better give details so that you can decide for yourself if my interpretation of the test is sound. Generate a sine tone, 30 seconds, 440 Hz mono, am...

Re: Amplitude Modulation

That sounds like amplitude modulation.

I thought there was a plug-in available on the Nyquist Effects page, but it appears not. I'm sure I must have one somewhere - I'll get back to you shortly.

Re: How record with 2 mics?

This mixer ... Yes the phantom power on that mixer is (nominal) 48 v. No you can't use that to power a PC microphone without some sort of modification - I've never seen a suitable adaptor/converter for doing that. It probably would not be too hard to make one, though it's more common to just make a...

Copy the full quality recordings onto an external hard drive, CD or DVD as WAV or AIFF files.
For safety it would be best to make at least one additional back-up copy in full quality WAV format.

Re: Noise removal: identical for both channels?

I can see a potential feature request/proposal coming out of the answers to this. I think you're right. It looks like Noise Removal uses the same profile for both channels and that profile is created from an average of left and right channels. In cases where the noise is similar on both channels (w...

Re: Audacity require to be "installed" - cannot start

There is a slightly chance that lack of properly installed graphic card driver was causing this to happend. Although Audacity does not place a high load on the graphics card it does rely heavily on the graphics drivers functioning correctly. If your graphics card was not fully installed (until you ...
