Re: Word "trial" on recording

You've downloaded something other than Audacity. Audacity is not trial ware it is free open source software. You've also posted in the Audacity 1.2.x part of the forum. To download Audacity 1.3.14, go to this page: http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows Find where it says "Recommended Do...

Having said that the files may not be present, in which case I think that you may be able to just copy them from the Audacity folder into C:Windows...

Re: Help! 1.3.14 install problem!

I read the link you provided. I bit confusing for me, but I'll download the MS file and see what I can do. Basically all you need to do is download the file (64 bit version if you are running a 64 bit OS, otherwise the x86 version), then run it. If you are prompted to uninstall or repair, choose &q...

Re: strange results with High Quality dithering

Dither will not affect the file size of a WAV file or any other uncompressed audio format. It is not adding any additional " bits ", it just makes small changes to the bits that are there. The difference in sound that dither makes is very subtle and may not be audible unless you are listen...

Re: Editing in Audacity

How are you doing the "Split"?
Are you using the menu option (if so, which exact menu item?) or a keyboard shortcut?
Which exact versions of Audacity are you using (recommended version for both systems is 1.3.14 Unicode)
