Re: Guitar Link to Audacity Problem

Please check which version of Audacity you have - it should be 1.3.14 Unicode (look in "Help > about Audacity" for the version number). If it is any other version, please update: http://audacityteam.org/download/beta_windows If you are already using 1.3.14 Unicode or you still get the same...

Re: How to spot a 256kbps mp3 transcoded to 320kbps

i just noticed that the 19KHz label on the x-axis in the graph is missing. it goes from 18KHz and jumps to 20KHz. why is this? The numbers are redrawn according to the size of the window, but the grid does not look quite right. Which exact version of Audacity are you using? (look in "Help > Ab...

Re: How to not scan plug-ins

No, Audacity doesn't look recursively into directories inside its "Plug-ins" folder. That's what I thought, but that does not appear to be strictly true. Tested with Audacity 1.3.14 beta on Windows XP (virtual machine guest) if I move the following files: gverb_1216.dll hard_limiter_1413....

Re: clipping-top of one channel only

I have uploaded part of one track of a stereo record to Sendspace. I have not used sendspace before, nor am I registered as a user, so please let me know if you need more information to access these files. When you uploaded the file to sendspace, the website should have given you a link to copy. We...

Re: 1.3.14 Where is "cut" under Edit

the clipboard retains only the last thing cut. If you cut two things, only the last thing cut will be on the clipboard. Or is that wrong? That's correct. What I sometimes do if I'm using a lot of "clips" is to add a new track (Tracks menu) and mute it (mute button on the left end of the t...

Re: playback after recording

It looks like little segments of the sound are being dropped (skipped). This is not an uncommon problem, but unfortunately there are many reasons that this can happen. Basically, some part of the system cannot keep up with the required speed of getting sound from the turntable onto the hard drive. O...

Re: playback after recording

While you're typing a reply, scroll down to the Upload Attachment tab. Do not send us an AUP file. Export a WAV or good quality MP3. Maximum size 1 MB - that's about 6 seconds for a stereo track but just a couple of seconds in WAV format will be enough. Select a couple of seconds of the track then ...
