Re: Creating a Robot Voice, "Roger, Roger"
If you're interested in making other "sound effects", Audacity 1.3.14 ( the current beta version ) is capable of a lot more than the old 1.2.x version. Using Audacity 1.3.14, the easiest way to produce the type of voice that you're asking for is: 1) Record a "normal" voice (mono ...

Yes, please add me to the request list. Curious that only you (with your plug-in), I and 12 other people seem to feel the need for this funcionality. Vote added. The number of votes is not really an accurate representation of how useful, or even how popular a feature would be. Out of all of the mil...

Re: best technique for kids mono mp3 player?
Thanks for the clarification wkearney99. I too was unsure what you meant in your original post, not because you were unclear, but because it's very rare for an MP3 player to not be stereo. what's the best way to go about converting various stereo music mp3 tracks (typically 192kpbs CBR or higher) in...

Re: Export to Burn CD; Metadata Files, How Do I Embed In WA
Normal audio CDs do not have track information on the disk. However, what i...

Re: Creating a Robot Voice, "Roger, Roger"
I'm not sure what you pressed but the instructions given should produce something like this (you may get a slightly different result using Audacity 1.2.6 as I'm using Audacity 1,3,14 and the delay effect has been changed).

Re: 1.3.14-beta WINDOWS 7 32 bit does not recognize USB port
Just going on some of the comments posted on the forum, I got the impression that the generic USB drivers would be enough. Try rebooting your computer and see if the problem persists.

Re: making a demo of my band, need advice
In many ways it gets easier with practice (as with most things). In particular, as you get to know your way round the software you can spend more time editing and less time looking for which button to press. Having said that, good audio editing is a complex skill - I've been doing it for many years ...

Re: Seek time period preferences not working, & Long Period?
The "Long Jump" is shown in Preferences as "Seek Time when playing " http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Playback_Preferences During Playback Shift+left/right cursor will jump the playback position by the "Long Period" setting. To quickly navigate while playback is stopp...
