Re: Error recording guitar on Windows 7 x64
I read "ready" for the microphone , but the line-in and phone line are "actually not available". Did you check this with the guitar plugged into the light blue socket (and nothing plugged into the pink socket)? We may be having a translation problem - check that the line-in sock...

Re: Audacity won't start under Ubuntu 11.10
Apparently you successfully built and installed audacity from source in the past, even if you didn't notice it :) Or perhaps installed a deb package that was created by someone else? If this is the case and you still have the original deb package then it can be uninstalled quite easily - please say...

Re: Clicking sound from a series of sine waves
The sound wave i'm creating is 0.4 seconds each and i'm stringing 4 ultrasonic frequencies into 1, creating A 1.6second sound file. For example, i'm stitching 18000-19000-19100-19500Hz into one, and the disturbing click happens at every interval of 0.4 seconds. Is there a good way to remove the cli...

Re: Sequential tracks?
Import all of the tracks - they will appear one below another. Use the Time Shift tool (double headed arrow button <--> or F5 key) to slide the tracks left/right into the places that you want them. Export the project and the tracks will automatically be mixed down into a single mono/stereo track. Ti...

Re: Sound Finder / Silence Finder improvements
Here's Sound Finder with all if the request features except for "Ignore sounds shorter than..."
(also not added "Begin numbering from" but have included customizable text and minimum number of digits before or after - I think that is probably flexible enough).

Re: Sound Finder / Silence Finder improvements
Sound Finder could do with a new control "Ignore sounds shorter than [seconds]" . This is proving to be quite tough. Rather than allow only one control or the other to work, I assume the "ignore" takes precedence So if "Ignore sounds shorter than.." is non-zero, any so...

Re: Unable to begin recording
If you're using Vista or Win 7, the recording input is probably disabled until you plug something in.

Re: converting recording to manuscript
You mean convert audio into music notation? No Audacity can't do that.

Re: Error recording guitar on Windows 7 x64
First check in the "Transport" menu that "Software Playthrough" is not selected. If that's not the problem.... Go into the Windows Control Panel sound settings and check that the line-in is connected and enabled. (see here for details: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Windows_Vi...

Re: navigating to 'my computer' always freezes Audacity
Which version of Windows are you using?
You could try updating to 1.3.14 beta (Unicode) : http://audacityteam.org/download/
I presume that you mean 1.3.13 beta (Unicode).justinrpg wrote:I am using Audacity 1.13-beta (unicode)
