Re: Blue screen error, hissing static from speakers
BSOD crashes with Audacity nearly always come down to driver problems.
Check that you have the correct and up to date drivers for your sound card and operating system.

Re: VST Effects not showing up in Effects Menu
The mda web site has three versions for Mac. 2 different VST versions and an AU version. http://mda.smartelectronix.com/ There is no guarantee that "Universal" will run on all Macs - this has come up before with VSTs that are marked "Universal" but the VST code still requires a s...

Re: WAV files won't show up in Windows Media Player
Audacity can edit individual tracks, but you need to import the individual tracks.
Are you able to export the individual tracks from your recorder?
Audacity 1.3.14 is much better for working with multi-track projects than the old 1.2.x version.

Re: Sound Finder / Silence Finder improvements
The problem is, what should happen if there are a series of short noises (shorter than the "minimum") with short spaces between (shorter than the "allowed")? The "minimum sound" setting will ignore the sounds so that the silences will add up to be longer than the minimu...

Re: Remove glitch
The problem is that now you have cut a bit out the "beat" (pulse) is no longer regular. To show what I mean I've added a regular beat at just over 50 bpm to the track and you can hear that it goes "out of time" at around 15 seconds where you have made the edit. To make the beat r...
