Re: Track Splitting Workflow
Did what you said and the file was opened and applied OK. The strange thing is, once the label track is imported, I can add the apostrophes back using the Edit Label function without any complaint from Audacity. An apostrophe in a song title isn't exactly a rare occurrence! To clarify, as I often h...

Re: Recording from cassette Tapes
Finally, from the discussions on the forum it would seem that Audacity version 1.3. is the way to go, even though I am still using Windows XP Professional. Yes, Audacity 1.3.14 (Unicode). Get it here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ Recording went OK but exported files went onto playlists on Wind...

Re: New installation and no sound
Audacity 1.2.6 is ancient and not recommended for use with Windows 7 (I wish turntable manufacturers would stop shipping that version). The recommended version for Windows 7 is Audacity 1.3.14 Unicode You can get it here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ I'd recommend uninstalling 1.2.6 before inst...

Re: Recording A Cell Phone Call
I'm still not totally clear about what you are trying to do.
Are you wanting to record a funny voice that you can then play down the phone to your friend?

Re: Problem with tracks.
I'm also using a virtual sound module with an extermal midi device through the front USB port, and a microphone through the rear mic input jack. You clearly don't have a simple set-up, so you'll need to tell us in detail what your set-up is. What is this "virtual sound module"? What are y...

Re: ReplayGain
As a side note, the reason that the plug-in only analyses the tracks and does not actually normalize the track is because normalizing with Nyquist plug-ins can consume all available RAM if long tracks are selected. Analyzing (without normalizing) is done in this plug-in without loading all of the se...

Hi Steve, does this interesting new plug-in address (at least part of) Koz' feature request on "Normalize a multi-channel show" - see Here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=62465 or am I missing the point?? Peter No it addresses a different issue. As you are aware, e...

Re: I got a problem (Not a Re to Trying to use the "Vocoder"
I got a problem. One time, I tried to do vocoder. Like it said. One sound must be on the left side (mono) and the other side must be on the right side. The music project had the same length, but it always says "Sorry, can't apply effect on stereo tracks where the tracks don't match." WHY ...

Re: Recording A Cell Phone Call
The main problem that you will have (apart from finding all the necessary adaptors) is that there is a huge level mismatch between the headset and the stomp box. Guitar effects are designed to work with signal levels much higher than a microphone signal. Also, if the headset uses an electret microph...
