Re: Pseudo-stereo effect
Thanks for trying it out and posting feedback Frank. Some time after the release of Audacity 2.0, Nyquist effects may be supported in "Chains" (Audacity's "batch processing" tool). The necessary modification to the code has already been written as a proof of concept, but Audacity...

Re: Track Splitting Workflow
the better advice IMHO is to write the labels.txt file as UTF-8, which means users can have what characters they like, subject to operating system restrictions. We should make clear there are disadvantages to using other than letters, numbers and underscore, but should also make clear that Unicode ...

Re: Line In records one channel only
Try this and let us know what happens: Plug in the two RCA connectors into the cassette deck and the mini-jack into the computer. Ensure that all connections are well seated then make a test recording. I presume that the left channel records OK and the right channel is a flat line? Is that correct? ...

Re: How to get Stereo Mix to show up? (Already read the FAQ)
I guess you've already found this bit in the manual: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#cp If you try all the suggestions there and you still don't see an option for Stereo Mix (sometimes called "Mix" or "What U Hear") then your computer probably does not have...

Re: Input dropdown menu problem on windows 7
While everything seems to run correctly, all of the input drop down menus are blank (input sound level and input device drop down menus have no selections, while all output menus have them) making it impossible to record anything into the software from my record player/tape player. Audacity can onl...

For some reason, after about a minute of recording, everytime, the sound becomes distorted.
Not sure why. Anybody have similar experience? perhaps a solution?

Re: What pidcat equipment should I buy?
Trying to put together a podcast that includes 2-4 microphones. I would start with two and add a third and fourth at a later date. What hardware should I be looking for? Trying to spend no more than $100. $150 tops. About the cheapest that you can do that for is: Behringer Xenyx 1204 USB ~ $165 3 x...

Is it possible to listen to your audio w/o recording it? Hearing it through the speakers when recording but baffled on how I can listen to myself w/o recording the voice? Thanks.
