Re: How to retreive an overwriten Project file

I may be too late. If you have not closed the Audacity project since the first "Save" of 'Day 1 Talk 1', then you will be able to use the "Undo" feature (Ctrl+Z) to step back through everything that you have done since then until you get back to that first recording. If you can d...

Re: Must you really be an engineer to use Audacity

nrg, the topic was locked because I have received several complaints about your posts. Your first post was merged with your second post by one of the senior forum personnel who asked you very politely to keep your responses in the same topic thread rather than starting a new topic. He also asked for...

What exactly did you do to fix the problem?
What sort of sound card are you using?
Could you post a short sample in WAV format to illustrate the problem (just 2 or 3 seconds will do)

Re: plug ins intially worked but have since discontinued

OK, First off, close Audacity and then reopen it and look in "Help > About Audacity" and ensure that you really are using Audacity 1.3.14 (Unicode). Then, assuming that you are, go back to my previous post: Try this: Open Audacity Click on the "Help menu > About Audacity". What d...

Re: Track Splitting Workflow

To do it would mean treating all input as RAW (binary) and testing for the ASCII values throwing away any that were outside 20 to 128 or whatever range you felt was reasonable. Seems simple enough to me.. As far as I can see, the only way that would work would be to only support the lowest common d...

Re: reseting after export

However you can still close a project without closing Aud...

Re: Mono track to Stereo

If you post a short sample (just a few seconds) as a WAV file it will help us to know what you are trying to deal with. WAV files up to 1 MB can be attached to forum posts - look below the message compose window where it says "Upload attachment". Some wishful thinking here Yes that's wishf...
