Re: Cue Sheets

for me, somehow it didn't work. It needed Java in the first place and things started to just fall apart... As I remember, I didn't get a proper CD-TEXT standard cuesheet. And the application is not suited for newbies. Yes I see the problem. The current "Feature Request" not withstanding (...

Re: Adding a New Track "Before the Beginning"

I know what you mean PGA. I've been helping out on this forum for 4 years and I'm still learning stuff. Behind the simple user interface there are hidden depths, making Audacity a much more versatile and powerful editing tool than may at first appear. This page of the manual covers everything (I thi...

Re: Line In records one channel only

When I use the microphone in -pink- it records both tracks, but in mono. I am no sure if that 2 tracks are the left channel duplicated or left and right channels mixed. That's normal for many sound cards. It's probably the left channel. I have updated the Realtek driver, but my laptop keeps recordi...

Re: when i add bass the mids/highs get low

wayya mean sound card? Im just adding bass to my music I have in my I tunes library. OK, I assumed that you were recording. Not really relevant now, but the "sound card" is the part of your computer that does the recording and playback of sounds. Commonly this will be "Realtek HD&quo...

Re: Adding a New Track "Before the Beginning"

Now all I need to discover is how to remove one or more tracks from a group selection. One track will have a yellow border. That is the track that "has focus". You can change which track has focus by using the up/down cursor keys. By pressing the ENTER key you can toggle the selection on/...

Re: Mono track to Stereo

You've got a bit of an uphill battle with this one as your source material is pretty low quality. It also sounds like someone has tried to clean up the recording during the original transfer from tape to MP3. Some of the problems (in particular the irregular clicks) are somewhat disguised by the MP3...

Re: Compress it all or one by one.

if i select only the vocals w/o the beat and apply compressor the Audacity Crashes Oh dear, that shouldn't happen. Could you look in the Help menu > About Audacity and tell us the exact version that you are using. It should say something like: "Audacity 1.3.14 beta (Unicode)" All of the n...

Re: Cannot choose source

As you have posted in both the Audacity 1.2.x and the 1.3.x sections we do not know which program you are trying to run. Audacity 1.3.14 is the recommended version for most systems so I have merged all of your topics and moved the entirety into the 1.3.14 for Windows section. If you find that SoundT...

Re: Cue Sheets

labels.txt has timestamp for each label, so shouldn't be hard to write a script to convert that to a .cue file As DjBR mentioned a while back, there is already a script called label2cue , but what he was requesting was the ability to create cue sheets from labels from within Audacity itself (I pres...
