Re: region markers
If you know the exact tempo there is a plug-in that creates labels at each beat: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=60534 There is also a "beat finder" included in Audacity but it's not very accurate unless there is a really strong beat to the music. http://manual.audac...

Re: Can record voice but not music....
when I go to record the music from a file in Windows Media Center the music doesn't record. If you have the music in Windows Media Center then you don't need to record it, you just need to find where that file is located on your computer (possibly in "My Music"?) Once you have found the f...

Re: Help with efect voice
If you're using Windows and Audacity 1.3.14 then the VST version of Anwida DX Reverb Light is a good one.

Re: expand on Norm's new track name in display
The patch applies OK but I'm still getting this same error: /usr/include/wx-2.8/wx/fontdlg.h: In copy constructor ‘wxFontDialog::wxFontDialog(const wxFontDialog&)’: /usr/include/wx-2.8/wx/fontdlg.h:61: error: ‘wxFontDialogBase::wxFontDialogBase(const wxFontDialogBase&)’ is private /usr/inclu...

Quite possibly. There are sometimes problems with Firefox getting the spaces wrong when copying from the code block.Edgar wrote:Some times pasting a patch into a code block has issues if the patch has blank lines at the end (I suspect).

Re: Replay Audio Spectrum of Time Series
So have I got this right? What you want to do is synthesize 22 bands of 1/3 octave band limited noise. Each band is amplitude modulated according to the number in your table. If that is along the right lines, then there isn't an existing effect for that and there are a number of conceptual problems ...

Re: expand on Norm's new track name in display
I tried applying your latest patch to a brand new svn checkout. Unfortunately I'm getting an error during "make": /usr/include/wx-2.8/wx/fontdlg.h: In copy constructor ‘wxFontDialog::wxFontDialog(const wxFontDialog&)’: /usr/include/wx-2.8/wx/fontdlg.h:61: error: ‘wxFontDialogBase::wxFo...

Re: Editting A Project Over A Network.
Recording should be done to a reasonably fast local hard drive. Depending on how you are networked, it may be possible to work with Audacity on a remote machine if Audacity is installed on that remote machine and the data is all on the remote machine. This may be possible with, for example, a Deskto...

Re: 1.3.14 system requirements
Is the Fast Track indicating a signal from the microphone? Have you adjusted the gain level on the Fast Track as per the FastTrack instructions? Have you set Audacity to record from the Fast Track? (it'll be the USB option in the recording input setting of the Device Toolbar ). Ensure that the Fast ...
