Re: Recording with JACK and a USB recording device in Audaci

I have chosen the USB device as input and output device, but the sound is still coming from the speakers /recorded from the internal mic. Have you tried any other Jack applications? "Hydrogen" (drum machine) is a pretty good test for Jack. Try running it and check that (a) it works. (b) i...

Re: Recording with JACK and a USB recording device in Audaci

Open Jack Control and click on the Setup button.
The Input device must correspond with your USB device.
Once you have Jack started with the USB device as the input device, launch Audacity and set it to "Host: Jack", Record and Playback: System.

Re: Won't record anymore

Check your USB cable.
Try a different USB socket.
Do not connect via a USB hub - USB audio devices must connect directly to the computer.

Re: Audio Genie II with audacity.

Look in "Help > About Audacity" and check that you are using "Audacity 1.3.14 beta (Unicode)" If that is not your version, update Audacity: http://audacityteam.org/download/ Ensure that the Audio Genie II is connected to the computer and recognised by Windows before you open Auda...

Re: Please Help: Error Opening Project

I'd guess that there is some seriously messed up data in the middle of that project that is causing the problem. Try exporting each track, one at a time, by selecting one track, then using "File menu > Export Selection" (select "WAV" as the file type). If you find that there is o...

It will be worth reading through this page on the wiki: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/GVerb GVerb is capable of reasonable results, but the default settings are dreadful. I find the "Duplicate and mix together" method to work best: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/GVerb#Duplicate_and_...

Re: expand on Norm's new track name in display

Maybe the reason there is no color picker in the Linux font dialog is that wxWidgets does not do color fonts with Linux. But it works OK with the color picker with the Wx fonts? Strange. I installed Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit but could not get Audacity to compile (myself and others have had this problem s...

Re: 78rpm EQ Curve Generator

If the "10 kHz Rolloff" parameter is zero Good catch. it didn't print a tab between the "10kHz Rolloff" value and the "LF Shelving" value Ah yes, I see what's happening there. It was difficult for me to spot because the spacing looks a bit off anyway on my machine (dif...
