Re: Binaural Tones WITHOUT Surf
I received an e-mail on this subject asking for one parameter box for the user to enter (all in one data line): Left channel tone frequency INITIAL hz. Left channel tone frequency END hz. Time duration. Right channel tone frequency INITIAL hz. Right channel tone frequency END hz. Time duration. Here...

Re: Flat lining when exporting from audacity project
The project audio itself can't be processed correctly; if you amplify by -2 dB, you'll notice spikes touching +/- 0. If you then open Amplify, it offers a -50 dB reduction for a new peak of +701 dB. The only odd thing I see in the .aup is values of "-1" for "min", instead of &qu...

Re: Residual channel noise
Do you also have "Overdub" enabled? (Transport menu) If so, then each time you record a new track, other tracks will play through your sound card, and because you are recording from "Stereo Mix" they will be re-recorded into the new track, which will lead to a gradual increase in...

Re: Flat lining when exporting from audacity project
I was cutting out the first 4-5 seconds or so...leaving a half second or so before the music started. Once that was cut, then I think I was putting my cursor around 7:09, selecting track start to cursor, then exporting selection. Yes I can also reproduce the fault (Audacity 2.0.0 alpha Jan 23 2012 ...

Re: Background noise
Please give more details. What sort of interface? (make/model number/if possible, a link to the manufacturers web site). What sort of pre-amp? Which version of Audacity? (The FULL version number. Look in "Help > About Audacity"). What settings do you have in Audacity, in particular in the ...

Re: Can't convert to wav or aiff
LAME is not required for exporting WAV or AIFF files. To Export a WAV file from Audacity: "File menu > Export > Audio" In the Export dialogue screen, browse to the location that you want the WAV file and enter a name for the file. Select WAV as the file type, then click the "SAVE butt...

Re: Residual channel noise
Try this and see what you get! Launch Audacity 1.3.14 using your normal settings. Press Record and record five seconds of "silence" then press Stop. Repeat to get another recording of "silence". Repeat again, and again. Do you see the level meters climb higher at each recording?...

Re: Noise when exporting as WAV
I need a DAW which adds no noise whatsoever to WAV files. Does one exist? Use Audacity and keep everything in uncompressed 32-bit float format. The trouble with 16 bit integer format is that the sample amplitude accuracy is too low to avoid noticeable quantize errors when processing- this is unavoi...

Re: delay changes during song
I can't see anything wrong with the effect plug-in.
Perhaps you could upload your vocal track somewhere on the Internet (for example a free file sharing site) and I can download it and see if I get the same results as you.
