Re: quantizing (timing)

The "snapping" to label positions only occurs at the edge of an audio clip. It is quite subtle snapping, but there is a visual indication of when the edge of the audio clip is lined up, which is a vertical yellow line, as shown here:

Re: Playback issue with pulseaudio

I'll try your solution when I can summon the courage It's not really a "solution". Playback from Audacity with PulseAudio in a virtual machine is still rubbish. You may find it interesting and educational to build Audacity from the source code, but I very much doubt that it will "sol...

Re: RECORDING 24-BIT WITH EDIROL UA-25

my problem is going to be i want to overdub some recordings at 16 bit into a 24 bit master- ive a feeling its going to be difficult to blend them That'll be no problem at all. In Audacity, work in 32-bit float. By default Audacity 1.3.14 will record and import uncompressed audio formats as 32-bit f...

Re: It doesn't record - need help

Glad you're starting to have fun with it Dave :)
Yes, using the Aux connections on the keyboard would be preferable. Are you still getting the problem of only the right channel? If so, how exactly are you connecting the Aux to the computer?

That's the "allow silence" control in the current version of Sound Finder. Are you wanting me to make that a fixed duration? If so, how long?
