I presume that you mean the _data folder.
Look in the Recycle bin. If it is still there you will be able to restore it.
If you are unable to locate the folder then your show is gone as the audio data for the project is in that folder.

Did you combine the two mono tracks into one stereo track? Tracks will be automatically "mixed down" when you Export from Audacity. Assuming that you are using a recent version of Audacity 1.3.x you can also, you can mix down tracks within a project by selecting the tracks, then use "Mix and Render" from the "Tracks" menu. For ...

I will rely on the browser ZOOM feature in the future. It's better to do that. Any other readers that need magnified text are likely to have their browser view zoomed already when they visit the page, so if the text is big they will need to zoom out so as to get more than a couple of words on scree...

Try plugging directly into the computer and see how that goes.
The problem is that the USB is dropping data, so if you can manage without the USB then that will probably be the easiest solution.
