Re: Silent Export
By default Audacity uses libresample rather than libsamplerate for sample rate conversion.
I'll try building with libsamplerate and check if it works here.
NutmegCT, I presume that you're using the 32 bit version of Fedora 16?

Re: Sliding Time/Scale Pitch result sounds strange
I've posted a bug report here: http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=482 and attached your patch.
I should be able to check in the next couple of days that it builds OK, but I can only test on a 32 bit Debian machine.

Re: Seeking Help on Streamiling Workflow
My playback cassette deck can play back at 2x and 4x speed. I presume that you are aware that the sound quality when playing at high speed is likely to be less good than when playing at normal speed. As Bill wrote, you will loose high frequencies so it may sound very "muddy". I am saving ...

Re: Audacity does not recognize any sound devices
What are you trying to record? Does your computer have any recording devices enabled?

Re: Silent Export
Weird indeed.
What is the exact version number of Audacity? (look in "Help > About Audacity").
How did you install Audacity?
Could you post the "Build Information" from the "About Audacity" pop-up (probably easiest to post a couple of sceenshots).

Re: Newbie help
I forgot to metion I am using 1.3.14, Please try to post on the appropriate forum board - it helps us to provide relevant suggestions. Topic moved to the Audacity 1.3.x board. There is a plug-in called "Extraboy" that you could try. It is not free ($29.95), but there is a free demo versio...

Re: windows 7 + fono mini + edirol ua-25 + audacity
Computer crashes these days are almost always due to driver problems (and error code 43 would tend to confirm that). If your computer is a branded computer, try going to the manufacturers web site and see if they provide drivers for use with Win 7. If your computer is unbranded you will need to look...

Re: Sliding Time/Scale Pitch result sounds strange
Now that I'm looking at this code again, I was wondering if now would be a good time to incorporate the sbsms quality/speed improvements I made a while back, Not quite "now" as we're just days away from the Audacity 2.0 release. I would expect that soon after the 2.0 release would be a go...

Re: tracks skip
As the number of tracks increases the demands on the computer increase making it more likely for skipping to occur. However I would have expected your computer to easily manage 4 tracks. It also seems a bit strange that it skips in the same place. What is "that same place"? Can you see any...
