Re: No input device found

Go into the Windows Control Panel Sound settings and ensure that the recording device that you want to use is recognised and enabled.

Re: Recording via USB from USB Phono Plus v2

It sounds most likely to be an earthing problem. As you are using a different USB cable, the first thing that I would check is if the problem occurs on the new machine with the old cable. Phono pre-amps usually have an "Earth" ("Ground") connection (often a screw terminal). This ...

Re: import

For the sake of other French users, please include a French version of your question. Individual Tracks can be exported by using the "Export Selection" function from the File menu (the track to be exported must be selected). These tracks can then be imported into a new project. Images may ...

Re: Backwards Compatibility?

Yes, both directions, though some early versions of 1.3.x do not support some features (such as "show track name in waveform display"). Such missing features should be silently ignored. Audacity 2.0 does not have the (troublesome) Clean Speech mode. Some versions of Audacity 1.3.x have bug...

Re: Dynaudio speakers with Fast Track Pro

Audacity 2.0 is now available and replaces all previous versions of Audacity. It includes several bug fixes so it is a recommended upgrade: http://audacityteam.org/download/ To tell Audacity to play back via the M-Audio Pro you will need to set the Placyback Output in the Device Toolbar to the M-Aud...

Re: Duplicate tracks from mono

if I use Amadeus 2 Audacity is not Amadeus 2 so it is reasonable to expect some features to work differently in Audacity. Audacity records sound from the sound card via the sound card drivers. Some sound cards will deliver a mono signal as 2 identical audio channels, whereas other sound cards will ...

Re: How to place multiple markers for easy playback of a sec

See here for full details about labels: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Label_Tracks If you click in the text box of a label, you can tab along to the next label, or shift+Tab back to the previous one, though this may not be the easiest way to navigate around a track in Audacity. See here for the...

Why do you want 2 identical tracks?
It will sound exactly the same as having one mono track but will take up twice as much disk space.
