Re: Ripping Vinyl

in principle, at least, a first non-linear editing step might park some stuff in the previously empty part of the spectrum above 20kHz and a second might retrieve it into the audible range, either for good or ill, if the headroom above 20kHz was there in the first place. Can this be seen to happen,...

Re: No association in the context menu

So the problem lies in the 2.0 release. Well there's been almost half a million downloads of Audacity 2.0 since it was released and we've not been flooded with complaints. Perhaps you missed the step to select associating projects with Audacity during the installation, or perhaps there was a regist...

Re: Cannot Open Nor Import .aup Files

I'm afraid I have moved the interview files, because to put them manually in order (do the jigsaw!), I needed to sort them into folders based on subjects we talked about! If possible, move them all back and ensure that they are in exactly the same location as they were originally and that the file ...

Re: Copied tape, how to mark sections

I don't know the right terms for this so it makes it hard to look up but at least you managed to describe the issue clearly :) I'd like to separate the songs with the song name and be able to advance to that song or copy only that song to my ipod professional recordings are identified by a track nu...

Re: Backwards Compatibility?

Audacity Projects are not a good format for archiving (for many reasons). It is strongly advised that backups should be in a robust format such as WAV or FLAC. Reasonable as a generalisation but not a bit of good if the user may wish to revisit the project and do a re-mix or change a piece of the c...

Re: How to auto-maximize audiotrack sub window when loading?

I'm seeing space (lots of it!) beyond the end of the last track The fact that 49 tracks don't fit vertically is not a bug (obviously). Personally I think that the large amount of space to the right of the longest track is a bug. IMO if the tracks fit widthways then there should be no horizontal scr...
