Re: Audacity cannot find correct path to file.
Any ideas of what I may be able to do to correct this ? Yes. The Windows registry settings for those file types is messed up. I think this should fix the problem: Uninstall Audacity 2.0 Install CCleaner from http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner Run the CCleaner Registry cleaner (and make a backup of th...

Re: Upgrading to 2.0
@PGA, did you ever have Audacity 1.2.x installed on that machine?
Could you remind me which version of Windows you use.

Re: Cannot Open or Import .aup Files - SOLVED!
My reading of the AUP structure says that the files don't have to be put back exactly into the d00, d01 etc. folders. The files do need to be put back into the correct d00, d01 etc. folders. The following is tested on an unedited, single stereo track recording. Audacity reads in the data in the ord...

Re: Audacity cannot find correct path to file.
My first suggestion is quick and easy so I suggest trying this first: The Audacity Preference file is called "audacity.cfg" should be in the equivalent of: C:Documents and Settings <user name> Application DataAudacity ("Application Data" is a hidden folder) Ensure that Audacity i...

Yes, me too. Thanks for the offer but I don't think that'll be required as the problem is pretty obvious when you look for it.PGA wrote:It's the horizontal behaviour that I was querying.

Re: How to upgrade to Audacity 2.x
Any chance of a deb for Lucid (10.04) users? That's the latest LTS release (until 12.04) and I'm sticking with it as best I can (avoiding Gnome 3 and Unity like anechoic). The Audacity developers do not produce binaries for Linux, that's left to the distribution maintainers to do so that they can c...

Re: Dynaudio speakers with Fast Track Pro
Audacity does not include any device drivers - it uses the standard computer sound system. If your sound card is correctly installed and working then that's all that Audacity needs. Yes I'd recommend uninstalling Audacity 1.3.11 first. If you have a standard installation of 1.3.11 you should be able...
