What sort of turntable?
Are you connected to a "phono out" on the turntable or a "line out"? In other words, does the turntable have a built-in phono pre-amp? If it does the UDO-202 needs to be set to "Line".

Re: Audacity Stops Recording Without User Intervention
How much free space is there on your C: drive?
Did Audacity freeze, crash, or just stop recording?
How are you making the recording? What equipment and how is it all connected? Are you talking about a real radio, or on-line radio?

Re: Noise removed in Audacity but not in exported file
How much noise are you talking about? What is the peak level of the audio in the track? Did you Normalize the track before Exporting? Are you absolutely sure that you are listening to the exported file and not to the original (unprocessed) file? (not wanting to be patronising, but need to check). Wh...

Re: No wave patterns... HELP HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How exactly are you doing that?apple_pepper wrote:when i try to make a backing track from mp3
If you Import an audio file (File menu > Import > Audio)
then you should see the waveform appear.
Are you sure that the audio file really is an MP3 file?
Does the MP3 file play correctly in your media player?

Re: (soft) file associations lost
(Referring only to Windows XP. Apparently Vista/Win 7 are different) For that reason, you will get the same issue even if you don't install Audacity and use Audacity extracted from zips; you won't be able to associate identically named versions of Audacity with a file type. Except that if you don't,...

Re: Selection Tool Insensitivity
Look near the bottom of the main Audacity window in the "Selection Toolbar" (the bit with the selection time numbers). Look for where it says "Snap To" and remove the tick. When Snap To is enabled the selection will "snap" to the nearest time unit, so if the time units ...

Re: How to record 1 track seperately while listening to anot
Overdubbing = one or more tracks playing, while, in real time, another is recorded and mixed with them to produce a new recording. That's a particularly narrow definition. The term is more commonly taken in a broader manner: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overdubbing Some people consider that "M...

Re: Audacity cannot find correct path to file.
On my XP system it does not get added at all. The %1 does not appear to be added when you first enter it, but if you go back to edit it again you'll probably find that it has been added (but without the quotes). For better or worse, that "File Types" tab has been removed from Vista and 7....
