Re: Sound varies
I'm not really able to deduce much from the pictures I'm afraid, other than it appears that the background noise level on side 2 appears to be substantially lower than on side 1.

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
What I was asking if it were possible was a file overwrite check. Yes I think that should be possible. The code could try to read data from the file before writing. If any data can be read then the file exists and is not empty. I seem to remember Edgar-rft posting a function for appending data to a...

Re: Equalizer - Specifying Frequencies
It would be nice if I could zoom in to a specific region of the equalizer graph, You can stretch the window for the "Draw curves" view. Select "Linear" or "Logarithmic" frequency scale to suit your needs. Note that for really steep filter curves you will need to increa...

Re: simplifying audacity
The page is linked to from the manuals' front pages - but I'm as baffled as David is by the content. Unfortunately the "frozen" manual appears to lose the highlighting: Currently we do not provide a ready-made "simplified" language file in English or any other languages. If you ...

Re: simplifying audacity
Are you looking at the manual that is included with Audacity 2.0 or an on-line manual?
If you're looking at something on-line could you post a link to it.

Re: Sound varies
Could you attach a short (less than 6 seconds) audio sample in WAV format to your reply to demonstrate the two noise levels. (Use the "Upload attachment" option below the compose message box).
Audacity 2.1 has not been released yet.Dave Davison wrote: What advantage has V2 got over 2.1.

Re: i like 1.3
1. ) 2.0 is not at times backward compatible with 1.3 or 1.2. Is this tru, because i have few files that does not work on 2.0, created on 1.3. Audacity 2.0 is compatible with 1.2 and 1.3 versions of Audacity, however there are a few cases where some old versions of Audacity would create damaged pro...
