Re: Availability of Audacity 2 deb package for Ubuntu

1. What error output should I give and in what format? Of course that Terminal session has long gone, so I would need to run the process again. Usually it's sufficient to copy the terminal output starting from a couple of lines before the first error message down to the end of the output. Typically...

Re: Few Audacity questions

1. After installing Audacity, I installed "LADSPA_plugins-win-0.4.15". I do not know if I have VST effects installed. How to find out? I tried with another user profile but it behaves the same way. On my laptop, with same OS, I do not have LADSPA plugins installed and most likely this is ...

Re: help using this audacity 2.0

Windows includes a really simple recording program called "Sound Recorder". It can only record 60 seconds of audio by default, but if you can get that to work then we should be able to quite easily transfer that ability to Audacity. You should be able to find plenty of information about ho...

Re: Help in other languages

A simple server-side redirect could then find the appropriate page if it exists, or the default (English) page if "xx" does not exist. If the appropriate language page does not exist then it would probably be better to redirect to a multi-language page. The multi-language page could sugge...

Re: How to face with this challange?!

As that is the entire track some unscrupulous competition entrant could pass it off as their own work What about the 30 minute limit? I was under the impression that this was "in exam conditions". Another "unscrupulous" approach would be to mix in 10% of the bad track with 90% o...

Re: Help in other languages

you really need to bring this up on the mailing list for the manual if this is to go any further. OK, will do. I don't think it's appropriate to transfer this as a FR to the Wiki Why not? As a wiki feature request it could be something like: Localized Manual from the Audacity Help menu. * A suggest...

Re: How to face with this challange?!

Well if we're going to allow other programs ;), here's the same as previously after running it through Gnome Wave Cleaner (Linux only) http://www.sendspace.com/file/4rmxny (Not as good as it should have been as it should have been cleaned much earlier in the process - certainly before I encoded it t...

Re: no devices with 2.x build

You're probably missing (at least) libasound2-dev

So we can get this right, could you open /etc/apt/sources.list in Gedit (or whatever your favourite text editor) and post the contents.

Re: How to face with this challange?!

Yes it is only 30 minutes! :) Wow that's not long. This is my 30 minute attempt and there's a lot of mistakes due to the time limit. http://www.sendspace.com/file/ht45gm I don't think there's anything in the standard Audacity that will really touch the crackle - it's too heavy for the "Click R...

Re: Sound corruption in the latest build with ASIO

So what you're saying is... if I can't reproduce this in the regular release this may not, if ever be fixed. What I'm saying is I'll have a look at the Audacity project and see if I can find any clue as the cause of the problem. Have you ever tried to fix a problem that you can't reproduce? I hope ...
