Re: Sound corruption in the latest build with ASIO

I don't understand, even the first step (that I didn't upload) is corrupted. How long was the recording? What was the recording format? Was that totally un-edited, un-processed and still corrupt? Did you try playing the recording before you saved the project? Does your system notify you of "xr...

Filezilla looks OK in Hebrew R-to-Left as far as I can tell:

Re: Sound corruption in the latest build with ASIO

Let me just have another go with that first one in case the download screwed it up somehow.
I'll post when it's done.

Re: Sound corruption in the latest build with ASIO

The second one does not report missing data.
It plays correctly up to 10:5.940 and from there on the sound is badly corrupted. The sound of the corrupted audio is much the same as I heard in the first project.

Re: Please help! the recording is too loud

BTW, when you say Clipfix is slow... how slow is slow? The first half of the progress bar goes really quick then it almost seems to freeze - is that normal? On my computer processing runs (walks) at about half real-time - I'll do a test... Processing a badly clipped 5 minutes stereo track takes aro...

It did here.
The first 30% was fine. The next 20% was noticeably corrupted and the last 50% was silent.
I can't rule out data corruption in the download, though the RAR file extracted OK so it appeared to be OK.

Re: Sound corruption in the latest build with ASIO

When I tried to open the first of your links, it came up half blank and reported thousands of missing block files.
I'm not certain that the problem is related to the "2^31 sample" issue, but it looks plausible.

The second link has just finished downloading so I'll take a look at that now.

Re: Sound corruption in the latest build with ASIO

You may be starting to run up against this bug: http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=416 1 hour 4 minutes stereo at 96 kHz is about 750 million samples If you process that file, for example if you normalize it, the number of samples in the project will double as Audacity copies the data ...

Re: Help in other languages

all the links in the navigation bar on the left side will throw you back to the English manual. Oh dear, that's bad, but it does not invalidate the idea. It could still work if other language manuals were set up as a wiki family: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Multilingual_MediaWiki#Language_prefere...
