Normalize and DC offset correction

This is not really a practical plug-in which is why I've not posted it to the plug-ins page, but it includes some features that may be of interest for pug-in authors. I wrote this plug-in to help me work out why the Audacity Normalize effect doesn't work properly in all cases (a bug that is currentl...

Re: bleeps at start or end of exported wav files

You appear to be doing everything right so this is a bit of a mystery. Would it be possible for you to post an example of this behaviour? WAV files less that 1 MB may be uploaded directly to the forum (see "Upload attachment" below the message composing box). For larger files please upload...

Thanks for the tip loopman.

Re: Silence Calculator

I don't remember if this is in 1.2.6 but it may be... Effect menu > Repeat Generate 1 measure of silence, then use the Repeat effect to increase that to as many measures as you like. Alternatively it would be very simple to create a Nyquist plug-in with the feature that you suggest (I'm sure that yo...

Re: dUSt: Dynamic Universal Sweeper Toolkit

What I found out was if I use 20 (instead of 1.0), then a line is produced that equals the length of audio. So, in this case, 20 = 100%, which takes some math to get the other numbers correct. Most probably you were doing something at the "control rate" rather than at the "sound rate...

Re: RECORDING ONLY INTERNAL SOUNDS

Audacity can select from available devices - use the Device Toolbar: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Device_Toolbar If the device that you wish to use cannot be selected the you will need to enable it through the computer settings. If you're using Vista or Win 7, see here: http://wiki.audacitytea...

Re: Mic needed. Any suggestions ?

What sort of computer?
Do you have a decent sound card or is just a standard PC laptop sound card?
Will you be wanting to do "overdubs" or just a single track recording?

Re: Vocal effects...

To apply an effect you will need to "select" the audio that you wish to apply the effect to.

Re: AUDACITY 1.3 BETA (UNICODE) ~ CANNOT REOPEN PROJECT

I mean the total duration of the project - if the recording was played back, how long would it be? I ask because there are issues that can occur with extremely large projects.
