Actually I think they are working quite well.
Before we had the "dire warnings" the "Oh sh*t my project won't open" was a very regular occurrence but much less so recently.

Unfortunately that file does not help.
An AUP file is not an audio file, it is part of an Audacity Project.
AUP files do not contain any audio data.

You mean that the full recording is several hours and you want to split it into shorter sections?
Are you wanting to do any other editing of the audio or just compile the MP3s into a series of CDs?

I can put the pitch effect to make myself sound like a chipmunk You mean using an effect on the mixer? If so then it sounds like the mixer is sending a "dry" mix (pre-Ez, Pre-Fx) out through the USB. Audacity can't do anything about that, it will just record the data that is sent to it. C...

Technically, Audacity Projects are now reliable, but I think it's taking some of us a little time to get used to that fact given that many of us have been messing round with unstable alpha and beta versions for so long, but as Bill says we should get used to that fact so as not to prejudice new user...
