so that mp3 files are encoded @16 kbps (and not the default value if 128kbps). If you use the MP3 export option in a Chain, then the encoding settings will be whatever MP3 encoding settings were last used. You should remove any DC offset from the recording before analysing. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Normalize
