Re: Sound Finder / Silence Finder improvements

Re: Issue Exporting and Saving Project

I don't thing that we can help. If you had been using Audacity 2.0 then even if it froze there would be a very good chance of automatic recovery the next time that Audacity was opened. There is an article here about crash recovery, much of which relates to Audacity 1.2.x http://wiki.audacityteam.org...

Let's hope so, but old data should not really upset Audacity 2, so keep an eye out in case it happens again.

Re: "Traveling" Repair?

I don't think there's any way to fix that other than the extremely labour intensive process of manual repair.

Re: Sound Finder / Silence Finder improvements

Sound Finder could do with a new control "Ignore sounds shorter than [seconds]" . This would consider sounds that are shorter than the minimum duration to be part of the "silence". The use case is that it would enable removal of a lot of loud but short duration sounds. Done Soun...

Re: Export to Wav changes sample amplitude values

Dither was already selected to None, the default value. The default is for dither to be enabled (shaped). If you had a previous version of Audacity installed then your current version would inherit the Preference settings from the old version. Some considerations: 16 bit audio does not have a value...
