Re: TrimTrack plug-in
This version can be used to either trim audio from the start of a track, delete from the end of a track or pad the start/end with silence. Positive time values add silence. Negative time values delete audio. To enable the effect to be used in Chains (requires Audacity 2.0.1 or later) it is possible ...

Re: Presonus Board Comaptible with audacity?
Then you select the Presonus device in the Device Toolbar an start recording.
When you do that, do you see any indication of sound in the recording meter?
Does the cursor move across a new track in Audacity?
Is there a wiggly blue waveform appear?

Re: Freecorder 3.0
If you're using Windows, have a go with SoundLeech.
It is (currently) free and without the nasty habits of Freecoder (hopefully it will stay that way

Re: multiple export of tracks to another software for better
Now Version 2.0 preserves clip length by not rendering white space between time zero and first audio, and preserves audio before time zero. This is just the behaviour i DON'T want  :x . I know exactly what you mean - this surprised all of us when it suddenly appeared. Fortunately there is an e...

Re: Is this a bug or a useful undocumented feature?
I think there is a proposal and/or feature request for this. Found it: Track Control Panel (TrackInfo class): Redesigned to retain functionality at minimal height (8 votes) Keep gain/pan sliders available when track height reduced (2 votes) Do you want to vote for one or more of these?

Re: Is this a bug or a useful undocumented feature?
"Is this a bug or a feature?" In my opinion, neither. It's a "quirk" :P The buttons disappear (are not drawn) as soon as they are partially obscured, but the "hot zone" does not disappear until it is fully obscured. Personally I think it would be useful if the track con...

Re: Enhancements to Frequency Analysis
OK, I can reproduce the problem with "Spectrogram (log f)" I can't reproduce the problem with the linear version of Spectrogram. Frequency gain is kind of a mystery to me With most "normal" audio, very high frequencies tend to be lower amplitude than lower frequencies. This setti...

Re: why are my wav files soo large?
File size for uncompressed PCM (i.e. WAV) file size is a straightforward calculation- There are 8 bits per byte, so 16-bit stereo requires 2 bytes per-sample x 2 channels, or 4 bytes per sample. At a sample rate of 44.1kHz, you have 4 x 44,100 = 176,400 bytes per second of audio. = 10584000 bytes p...

Re: Strange behavior
"Hello Mr Dannenberg I really love your trumpet playing. Besides what were your intentions regarding the RAMP-function in Nyquist? :D rofl. 3. This sample should return to amplitude 0. That part is clearly wrong in Audacity, but I suspect that it is an implementation issue. Having a look in ny...
