Re: Creating Batch

how would a chain handle the "File already exists, do you want to over-write" dialogue box that would occur when running under Windows and trying to save using a filename that is already present in the destination folder? My understanding (probably flawed) is that chains are built of unco...

Re: Known problems of Nyquist Generate plugins

Because this behaviour is hardwired into the Audacity "Generator.cpp" code, used by all builtin generators. Changing this needs substancial changes in the Audacity code, that also would affect the behaviour of *all* existing builtin generators. Are you saying that it's not impossible , bu...

Re: Resonant Filter

Thanks Gale for the suggestions regarding documentation text - all good. I bet we'll be asked on seeing "0.7071", "Does this use a 12 dB rolloff, then"? The official answer is...? The "official" answer is: Yes, when Q = 0.7071 the roll-off is 12 dB/octave. The technical...

Re: Audacity not recognizing vst plugins

That is the list. Harmoni is not listed but that is what I was redirected to I am having same issue. Did you check Voxengo Span web page? They suggest that the compatibility (not sure about Audacity) is possible through a pay (sick) application: http://www.voxengo.com/product/span/features/ The VST...

Re: Creating Batch

Be careful if you have mp3's and WAV's with the same file name. If you have a file: bladebla.mp3 and a file bladebla.wav and the chain tries to export them both, you will have a file name conflict - I've not tested but I'd not be surprised if the first one to be processed was overwritten by the seco...

Re: Set different audio on actual video

Audacity is not a video editor, it works on audio only.

If you have a video editing program you may export the audio track, edit it in Audacity, export from Audacity and re-import the edited audio file into your video editing program.

Re: Resonant Filter

I've made a few minor changes to the interface. After a bit of research, this appears to be the most common order for the controls and seems like a sensible order. (also suggested text for the documentation) Filter frequency: [1 to 20000 Hz] Sets the resonant frequency of the filter. The frequency m...

Re: Built in sound recording

Macs do not support recording what is playing on the computer. You need to additional software for that functionality.

Re: Creating Batch

Did you actually "select" all of the files?
Anything special about the ones that were missed? For example, are they all of a particular type/format?
