Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122

Thanks for the feedback Bob.
There's a user on the forum at the moment that has mysterious drop-out problems, so I'll mention this to him (http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 06#p183806 )

Re: Manual for Audacity 1.3.5 beta (Legacy version)?

That surely calls for some smartass answer, like "because I'm using an obsolete version of Debian" :P Building from source is pretty easy on Debian, though I've only built recent versions of Audacity on current versions of Debian so you could run into some dependency issues on Debian 5. T...

Re: I can't get it to record!!!

Topic moved to the Windows forum.

The current version of Audacity is 2.0 and you can get it here: http://audacityteam.org/download/

Check that your sound card drivers are up to date and appropriate for Windows 7 64-bit. See here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Updat ... ce_Drivers

Re: Will my sound card for multi channel work?

Open Audacity and go to "Help > Audio Device Info".
Wait a moment for the device information to appear.
Copy and paste that information into your reply.

Re: recording stops working

Carefully check through what applications and processes are running on your computer. Close all non-essential applications and stop all non-essential processes, then make a test recording.
