Re: Can you disable infinite dragging to the right of a wave

like every other wave editor on earth :P Hmm. Adobe Audition, ProTools, Cubase, Sonar, Reaper... I don't think that any of those behave as you suggest is the norm. I can't think of a single multi-track audio editor that does that. To my recollection, this is the first complaint that I've seen for t...

Re: How to change pitch without creating echo?

I hear it, particularly between 7 and 9 seconds where it sounds like a rhythmic rumble. Unfortunately I have no idea what you can do to get rid of it. It's an artefact of the Change Pitch algorithm, which I think uses a synchronized overlap-add algorithm. The "Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift&qu...

At that point, did you try playing it in Audacity? Did it play correctly?

Try changing the pitch using the "Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift" effect. It is slower, but higher quality than the standard "Change Pitch" effect.

Re: mp3 weird problem

As we can't hear the file and cannot examine it, we can only guess at what the problem might be.
Do other files work correctly? Is it just this one song that has the problem? Where did this song come from?

If you wish to extend a selection up to the end of a track, press shift + End.

Re: Comparing Sony TT preamp & Behringer's

The spectrum plot shows that the Sony turntable has about +6 dB more gain than the Behringer pre-amp below 1000 Hz. It also shows a lot more "stuff" above 15 kHz, but it does not show whether that "stuff" has musical content or is just noise (hiss). I would guess from those plots...

Re: quick question

Audacity 1.2.6 is obsolete and no longer supported. It was written back in the days of Windows XP and was never intended for Windows 7. Download Audacity 2.0 from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ See also this tutorial to help you get started: http://manual.audacityteam.org/manual/help/manual...

Audacity does not support "global" hot keys, but I've added your vote here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Featu ... FModifiers
