Audacity natively supports WAV, FLAC, AIFF, OGG for both import and export, so you should have no problem any of these formats. Audacity can import MP3 format, but cannot Export MP3 without a suitable build of LAME being properly installed. The version of LAME that I posted the link for does work, t...

Then your vocals have inverted phase in one channel.
Do you still have a multi-track copy with the vocals on a separate track from the beat?

Audacity would have to pay Steinberg to ship with Audacity. As I understand it, it's not a problem with payment, it is simply an incompatibility of license terms.
