Re: Total Newbie is Lost!
By osmosis, I am getting the idea that the .data file contains all the primary data, which is never modified, and the .aup file contains any modification or edits I may choosse to make, and that both are automatic. CAN SOMEONE CONFIRM THAT FOR ME? Let's not rely on osmosis ;) This article from the ...

Re: mp3 weird problem
Could you post a short extract of the bad verse. See here for how to post audio samples: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 49&t=64936
5 or 6 seconds in WAV format will be enough.

Re: 4 Trk. Rec. simultaneously w/Lexicon Omega USB interface
I don't know about compatibility of the Pantheon VST reverb but one limitation of Audacity VST support is that it does not support any "real time" or MIDI features of any plug-ins. There are some quite nice settings in the free ANWIDA Soft DX Reverb Light . Audacity 2.0.1 should be fully c...

Desk EQ
This EQ is modelled on the EQ section of the Allen & Heath™ GL series mixing desk. It is a 4-band EQ (equaliser) with two semi-parametric mids and provides independent control of four frequency bands plus a low frequency roll-off switch (HPF). Allen & Heath (along with Soundcraft and Neve) a...

Re: mp3 weird problem
The proper way to fix the problem would be in the original multi-track project (on your friend's computer, but it still may be possible to make a reasonable repair in Audacity. Your first post suggests that the problem is only on the first verse. I'm wondering why that is. Are your vocals only on th...

Re: 4 Trk. Rec. simultaneously w/Lexicon Omega USB interface
Unfortunately we have very little information about which multi-channel sound devices work with Audacity. There is a little information in this topic: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=38626 You may be able to get additional information by searching Google. When you eventually g...

Re: Error on sliding time scale/pitch shift
Needless to say, this arose out of the fact that if I applied the sliding time scale to the original ripped tracks as is, an audible annoying "click" would many times be present at the very end of the processed file after export. So I perform a roundabout proceedure of combining the track...

Re: Adjusting Master Volume Affects Recordings
I'm attempting to record a radio show online. I've noticed that when I adjust the volume via the Windows taskbar, it's affecting my recording. If you are recording using "Stereo Mix" then the playback volume will affect the recording. The "Stereo Mix" input option (when availabl...

Look in the Transport menu and ensure that "Software Playthrough" is off (not selected).
