What is the best way to fix this?
This "EZ-Patch" plug-in: viewtopic.php?p=164527#p164527

The result isn't perfect, but in my opinion it's a big improvement:

Re: Recording tracks always time shifts

Now I know to use 'latency' as a search term I have been able to find a solution on YouTube - where you just do a test to find the latency drift and adjust it accordingly Are the tracks now lining up correctly for you? It's a shame that Audacity cannot do this automatically. Yes, isn't it. In the p...

Re: Any way to play a segment at end and have it "loop" back to the beginning?

Start playing a song near the end (last 3 seconds) then have it automatically continue to play from the beginning. Is this possible? Yes. Select the audio that you want to loop, then "Shift + Click" on the Timeline at the place that you want to start playing (for example, 3 seconds before...

Which version of Audacity do you have? (Look in "Audacity menu > About Audacity")

What are your "Latency" settings in "Preferences > Devices"?

Re: Exported WAV files larger than imported WAV files

Is there a chance that the file is being converted from mono to stereo? or from 8-bit to 16-bit, or from 16-bit to 32-bit or was the original file not actually WAV format? The default format when Exporting from Audacity as WAV is 16-bit WAV (mono or stereo depending on whether the project is mono o...

Re: Any way to play a segment at end and have it "loop" back to the beginning?

What I want is to play the last few seconds of the song then have it automatically restart at he beginning. This way I can see how the transition is working when looping the whole song. Audacity does not have "loops" in the same way as DAWs (such as Cubase, Sonar, Reaper, Logic ...). In A...

Re: Exporting .DTS 5.1 file results in obsolete channels being created

Why don't you have a dedicated bugs forum section? Because 99% of "bugs" that are reported turn out to be something else (faulty equipment / user error / incorrect settings / misunderstanding / other software problems / bad drivers / ... the list goes on). It's more informative if we at l...

Re: Record impulse response?

An "Impulse Response" is just a recording of an impulse sound + ambiance. They are usually recorded in 32-bit float format, though the actual format depends on the requirements of the program that you want to use the IR with. Common ways to create the "impulse" include: a hand cl...

Re: Help with Installing DLLs on Windows

It's a lot trickier for other types of plug-ins. Nyquist plug-ins are native to Audacity and the method / place for installing is fully defined on all platforms. Also, there is a location that Nyquist plug-in can be installed that does not require elevated privileges (admin rights not required). Man...
