Re: Lost aup file
I need a solution for a lost aup file now. If the project was a recording and totally unedited at the time that it was saved, then you could sort the .AU files by file creation time and stitch them together. If it's a very short project you could import the .AU files (from the _data folder) and try...

Re: Lost aup file
A project has two parts:
1. The audio data in the "ProjectName_data" folder.
2. The Audacity project file ("ProjectName.aup"). This tells Audacity where all the bits of audio data go within the project.
Both parts are essential.

Re: Audacity stopped recording after Win 10 update.
Your device settings for HP2 look correct for recording sounds that are playing on your computer, but the device is set to work with a sample rate of 48000 Hz only. The default sample rate for Audacity is 44100 Hz, so that may be the problem. Have a look in the Windows Sound control panel and see if...

Re: Getting M4R ringtones to work on the iPhone with Music
Audacity's manual refers to the LAME/FFmpeg (CODEC?) conversion code needing to be updated. I *thought* I did that. But nothing changed. Still won't load to iPhone. So, I'm wondering if actually got the update correctly installed... If you can export as AAC, then FFmpeg is working correctly. If FFm...

Re: Behringer X32 Mixing Desk
I only have the option of selecting 'In 1-2 Behringer USB' under recording devices. Your "deviceinfo.txt" confirms that "In 1-2 Behringer USB" is the only Behringer recording device that Audacity can see. You will probably be able to access multiple channels with a recording app...

Re: Behringer X32 Mixing Desk
Please post your "Audio Device Info" (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/help_menu_diagnostics.html) That will tell us what options are available to Audacity. See here for how to attach the "deviceinfo.txt" file to your reply: https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&am...

Re: aup. file turned text, no audio sound
If I try to import it in my audacity it says project missing. It probably says that the "project data folder" is missing. There are two parts to an Audacity project. There is a project "_data" folder that contains the audio data, and a "project file" (.AUP) that contai...

Re: How to fix a broken track?
Yes.
I used track spectrogram view so that I could see more easily where the damaged section occurred, then selected that plus enough audio before to make the repair.

Re: I'd like to know if my current setup is correct for podcasting
*This is a repost. I posted this at the beginning of the month, and have received no response. I've merged your two topics. I suspect that you didn't receive any answers because you asked such an open ended question that it's not possible to answer without posting an entire course in sound engineer...
