Have a listen to each track on its own (use the track "solo" button.
If the sound of each individual track is clean, then use the track gain sliders to lower the levels of each of the tracks so that the "combined" level is below 0 dB.

Re: Freeze on playback of Audacity 2.0.1 on Gentoo
When I start from the command line, these are the error messages I get right at launch: Those are not "Errors". They are just "information" from the system as Audacity searches for available sound systems. Am I right in thinking that you do not have PulseAudio installed? Please ...

Re: How we use "apply & edit chain"?
You may need to raise the "Threshold" level in the Truncate Silence effect. See here for more information: http://manual.audacityteam.org/help/manual/man/truncate_silence.html I'd suggest that you manually try out the settings in Truncate Silence on one or two of the audio tracks before us...

Re: automatic selection/trimming
I'll have a look to see if I can find one of them. Here you are. I don't use MACs myself but this topic goes through a number of possibilities. Work through the suggestions until you find the appropriate solution: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=184674#p184674 Please write back to con...

Re: automatic selection/trimming
Check in "Audacity > Preferences > Effects" and ensure that "Nyquist Effects" are enabled. If Nyquist effects are already enabled then you may not have Audacity installed quite right - I've seen other posts about resolving this problem on Mac OS X - I'll have a look to see if I c...

Re: Transport and Meter toolbars dockable in the Mixer Board
This is why I suggested the Master Fader should always be visible, How about if the Master Fader Track were always created at the top, immediately below the Time Track (if one exists)? I think that it is important to allow for extensibility in the design, which is why I particularly like the idea o...

Re: Labels, Snap and Selections
This does not fully answer your questions, but may be some help: The current Z function proved to be a bit unpredictable. Snap to zero crossings will always be a bit unpredictable with stereo tracks as there may not be zero crossing points in the same place in both channels. When adjusting labels it...

Why not? Is that option greyed out? If so, are some of the other options in the File menu greyed out?mpp wrote:I was originally clicking on export multiple, but it wont allow me to do that now.
