You need to be very careful with "special" characters such as "%" as they can have special meanings (you must have seen "%20" sometime in a web address - it's a code combination for a "space" character). Also, Windows has quite extensive rules about characters...

You should probably check in the XENYX manual, but I don't think that the fx work through the USB connection. I think what you will need to do is to record "dry" (no effects) then add effects on after - Audacity includes a range of effects, and many more can be added as "plug-ins"...

There are some invalid (garbage) characters in the metadata.
Click the "Clear" button in the Metadata Editor, then continue with the export.

You should then be able to see the silent part (flat blue line).
Click, select, zoom in, delete as required.
