2.0.1 can be installed over the top of 2.0.0. In effect this will update your current Audacity to 2.0.1

I'm using Audacity 2.0.1 with "FFmpeg_v0.6.2_for_Audacity_on_Windows.exe"
All metadata is correctly saved in the WMA file.
Windows recognises the "Artist", "Track Title" and "Comment" fields.

If it is deleting everything, then there's probably something wrong with the way that you are making the selection. Are you click/dragging on the actual waveform? That's where you need to click / drag. The selected area should become "highlighted" in a darker shade. This may help: http://m...

Is it always best to upgrade to a new version when available? I'll stick my neck out and say "yes". New versions go through rigorous testing before being released and will not be released if sub standard. Releasing a new version is a lot of work for the developers and everyone that is inv...

How peculiar :? Yes I can confirm that this is a bug. It seems to be Windows specific and only appears to happen with the Normalize effect and when a track name includes a "%" character. Thanks for the report, I'll pass on the information so that it can be fixed. While we're waiting for it...
