Re: Audacity Fade effects

Do you want to write to the Audacity4Blind list or should I see if I can get any input there about working with multi-point envelopes? Thanks Gale. I've subscribed and posted to the Audacity4Blind list, but if you have or can get any additional feedback please let me know. I certainly don't find th...

Re: There is no Microphone audio controller in Sound interfa

One sentence: "I'm trying to record my vinyl to CD." More than one sentence would be good, for example: "I'm trying to record my vinyl to CD. I have the phono output of my Technics turntable connected to the phono input of a Cambridge Audio A5 integrated amp (with optional phono inpu...

Re: Label Editor Out to Lunch?

Many bugs are not repeatable (they are the hard to fix ones). That bug is repeatable if you delete some audio, CTRL + Z to Undo, then CTRL + B and type j or k This must be a hard to fix one then. When I try those steps the problem does not occur (though I can sometimes produce the issue by speed ty...

Re: Automatically adding track silence

As for settings I have found default the best If you change the "Label Starting Point" from 0.1 (default) to 1.1, then that will add an additional 1.0 seconds to the start of the label position. Similarly if you change the "Label Ending Point" from 0.1 to 1.1 that will add an ad...

Re: Analysis of Surface Electromyography-Signals

There are no absolute units for the vertical scale. Sound cards are not calibrated, and the level in Audacity depends not only on the input level to the sound card but also on the recording level that is set in the operating system. For a "line level" input on a sound card with the recordi...

Re: Redline *Lagging* the music?

Rendering the screen display is performed separately and with lower priority than recording the audio data so they will often not be exactly synchronised. It is not unusual for the waveform to lag behind the red cursor line, though I've never seen the red cursor line lag behind the waveform.

Re: Combining Recordings From Two Devices

Sound cards and other digital audio devices have an on-board "clock" signal to tell the device when to record or play the next audio samples. On very expensive devices these clock signals are very accurate, but in professional studio set-ups they go one step further and wire multiple devic...

Also, a word about "netiquette".
Writing posts in all upper case is generally considered to be "shouting" and so impolite, so please stop doing it.

Re: extremely loud static exported out of wav file

Which version of Windows are you using? Which version of Audacity are you using? Did the audio play OK in Audacity before you exported it? What was the file name of the file that you exported? What sort of WAV file did you export? 16 bit PCM? Was it mono or stereo ? What project rate were you using?...

Re: noise removal doesn't remove noise!!!

If you need technical support with the hour I suggest that you purchase a product that includes telephone support. The people that help out here on the this forum are all volunteers that choose to spend some of their spare time helping other Audacity users. What sort of noise are you trying to remov...
