Re: Converting ODM to MP3 files
Where did you get the ODM files from? Are they e-book that you bought? If so, have you contacted the retailer and told them that you can't open them?

Do you have recording inputs showing up in ALSA mixer?
(to open ALSA mixer, open a terminal window and type alsamixer)

Re: time for a new mic??
I am using windows vista and a focusrite 6 usb with 2 inputs and 4 outputs. Re: How do I create a Fade Out Clip?

Re: Recording help with a Behringer Xenyx 1204usb mixer
The mixer should probably show a level on it's meters close to 0 dB peak.
The recording level will also need to be set in the Windows Sound settings. See here for how to access the Windows sound settings: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer ... es#vistacp

Re: Edit track appearance
You can zoom in or out horizontally. You can also zoom in vertically by left-clicking on the vertical ruler near the left end of the track, and zoom out by right clicking in the same place: http://manual.audacityteam.org/manual/help/manual/man/zooming.html The track can be resized vertically by clic...
