Re: Audacity 2.01

I presume that refers to an unlicensed (trial version) of Lector by Waldorf. Please check that either you have a valid license key for Lector, or that Lector is fully uninstalled. If you have trouble uninstalling Lector, please contact Waldorf and ask them how to correctly uninstall Lector - they ca...

Re: Envelope Tool Set Points

The envelope tool produces control points only where you click with the envelope tool. http://manual.audacityteam.org/manual/h ... _tool.html

This is a 2 hour track (just a constant tone in it) with envelope points at 30 minutes, 35 minutes 1:30 and 1:35

Before editing, ensure that the audio does not have DC off-set. http://manual.audacityteam.org/manual/help/manual/man/tutorial_editing_an_existing_file.html#DC Try to make edits at points of silence, or immediately before a beat, or at zero crossing points: http://manual.audacityteam.org/manual/help...

Re: Removing hum and hiss

You won't be able to make a huge improvement. Here's a (quickly done) idea of what to expect: sample2.flac If you use the original recording rather than an MP3 version you may be able to get it a little better. Before you start, Normalize (Effect menu) with all of the options enabled, to -1 dB. If y...
