Re: External mic not showing up in drop down menu

it says driver unavailable then only sees it as a speaker So we've found the problem. Have you tried rebooting the computer? Note that you cannot use Windows drivers and ASIO drivers at the same time. If you have ASIO drivers installed and then use any audio application that uses ASIO, that will bl...

Re: Can't record -Host processes interfering

The Listen to Speaker Must be on to record. Do you mean "Listen to this device" ? Listen to this device should not need to be enabled to record. "Listen to this device" must be off for "Stereo Mix", otherwise you not only record what is coming out of the sound card, yo...

What do we do after we change the code?
1. Save the edited file.
2. Close NotePad++

Re: Low pass filtering causing high pitch ringing sound

There is no high pitched ringing noise there, just a click at the beginning and low frequency noise. The low frequency noise goes down ridiculously low for normal loudspeakers, or even for professional subs. Perhaps you can hear your speakers rattling or the ports blowing.

Re: Signal coming in is 48 khz and Audacity is set to 44.1 khz

Unless it sounds noticeably at the wrong speed / pitch, then it's likely to be close to perfect conversion from 48 kHz to 44.1 kHz. Audacity's sample rate converter is extremely good. If you want to put them on an audio CD, they would have to be converted to 44.1 kHz anyway.

Re: "Not Responding" Getting worse

I would not recommend working on a USB stick. USB sticks can be handy for storing finished work, but computer's access USB sticks as "block devices" which is not really suitable when low latency access is required. Also, they can become very slow when free space starts to run out.

Does this sound like a correct assumption?
Perhaps, but let's not jump to conclusions.

How exactly is everything connected up?

Re: turntable /receiver / amp cabling

The turntable also has a dedicated dual RCA male cable. If you are not already using them, you could connect the turntable RCA outputs to the "Front Left / Right" inputs of your amp (marked "12" in the SR5012 manual). That would allow you to listen directly to the turntable whil...

the green meter in the recording tab is there, but it is not working.
Do you have a different sound source that you can plug into the UCA202 for testing purposes? Perhaps a CD player?
Also, check your leads - if possible, try different leads.
