Re: How can I kill the offer to move the help files?
How peculiar :? Could you try uninstalling Audacity (completely, all versions that you may have installed) Then run the 2.0.2 installer and select the option to reset preferences when the screen comes up with that option. When you next open Audacity you will be asked if you want preferences to be re...

Re: How do I hear the Export mix?
The challenge now seems to be to identify the "least worst" solution from a batch of solutions, where each solution has both pros and cons of varying impact. Now that the 2.0.2 release is complete, discussion has reopened on the QA list about this question. I'm hoping for a better outcome...

Re: How can I kill the offer to move the help files?
One of its most annoying "features" is that whenever you click on Help and choose either Quick Help (in browser) or Manual (in browser) it pops up a folder tree asking where you want to move the help file to Could you post a screenshot of that message - I've never seen that behaviour. On ...

Re: How do I hear the Export mix?
I'd be quite happy for Audacity to operate in this way provided that there was an option via a button in the GUI that made it impossible to do an Export if any Solo buttons were engaged. One previous suggestion was for there to be a pop-up warning if the user attempts to export when there are soloe...

Re: Bug in 2.0.2 Release Notes
The release notes are posted to a CMS, so it is a case of updating content rather than "publishing" in the traditional sense. If we had three times the manpower this error would probably not have happened. If we had three times as many developers, or if the current development team were pa...

Re: How do I hear the Export mix?
The only way to monitor the "Export Mix" is to manually check that all tracks are not soloed (a bear trap with large multi-track projects). The other way of looking at this is that Audacity plays the "Export Mix" by default. The only way to listen to a mix that is different from...

The 7000 word document was checked by quality control and corrected at 7:41 this morning.PGA wrote:Where were Quality Control and Quality Audit when you needed them?
It could not be checked before going live because it did not exist.

Re: Bug in 2.0.2 Release Notes
Thanks for the feedback PGA.
This has already been reported and will be corrected shortly. I think that Release Notes are the correct 2.0.1 to 2.0.2 changes, but that changing the heading was forgotten.

Re: Does Audacity allow you to copy/paste audio to different
from what I understand, I can edit an audio track in Audacity and then Export it into an outside wave or mp3 etc.file. My 2 questions are: 1) Can I then cut and paste it on to a Microsoft, PDF or other word /text document where the audio can be triggered? You can export audio from Audacity as an au...
